Due to the recent advances in the techniques of open reduction and interna! fixation, few has been written on methods for percutaneous reduction of the calcaneus fracture. The technique of Essex-Lopresti is indicated for the calcaneus fracture tongue type. Following the principies of lesser aggression and morbidity, the authors describe the technique with its indications and advantages.
