Tratamento do hálux rígido através da artroplastia de interposição com implante Cartiva®
Keywords:
hallux rigidus, Cartiva, synthetic cartilage implantAbstract
The present study demonstrates the technique of interpositional arthroplasty with a Cartiva® implant for treatment of hallux rigidus. There was significant improvement in pain and function symptoms at 12 months postoperatively, with the result being considered excellent by the patient. The surgical correction promoted an improvement in hallux extension from (0°-10°) to (0°-30) without complications, and a clinical improvement in the Visual Analogue Scale of 9 to 0 and AOFAS score for the forefoot in 34 points to 100 after 12 months of surgery.
