Abstract

Despite of necessary in some cases, the spinal surgical fixation in disseminated neoplastic disease is a great challenge to the practice of the specialist. This article presents a case of a patient with multiple myeloma with compression and neurological deficit that underwent surgical decompression and fixation, techniques of pedicle screw instrumentation and sublaminar bands are performed in the same procedure, what is still quite unusual in our experience.
