The actual approach to cranio-cervical junction congenital anomalies is based on medical imaging, MRI in particular, providing detailed morphological visualization which correlates to signals of tissue damage. The wide spectrum of skeletal malformations determines the Central Nervous System degree of compromise with rather relevam implications to surgery procedures and subsequent therapy strategies.
