Os autores descrevem a mini-incisão lateral para artroplastia total do quadril, realizada no Hospital do Servidor Público Estadual de São Paulo desde setembro de 2002. A técnica apresentada é de fácil realização, obtém excelente exposição e apresenta as vantagens das mini-incisões.
