Abstract

The authors presem an alternative for treatment of aggressive tumors in the proximal end of the tibia in immature skeleton patients. lt's a non conventional endoprosthesis, which substitutes only the proximal tibia after its wide margins resection, without femur manipulation. So, only the tibia' s phises is sacrificed, trying to reduce the discrepancy of the limbs at the end of growth. Discuss the indication, its complexity and the advantages of this procedure, since due the anatomical complexity, an amputation is steel an alternative. They describe the resection technique, and the substitution of the bone and the ligamentoplasty and muscular flap trying to restore the local anatomy and the limb function.
