Authors presem a slotted acetabular augmentation procedure for the treatment of late congenital hip dysplasia or acetabular deficiency after reduction. This technique create a slot in the acetabular edge and a graft from the ilium is secured medially in the slot and laterally by capsular suture. Cancelous bone is placed over the graft and imobilization by spica cast is needed until incorporation of it. This surgery is similar to that discribed by Staheli, providing augmentation and stability for the femoral head; its indications, contra indications and complications are the sarne to others shelves acetabuloplasties.
